Are they serious?
Different news everyday in Nigeria, two men was sentence to death today in Nigeria, because they stole two fowls, sounds funny right? This is how Metro- Osun is reporting it
The men, Olowookere Segun and Morakinyo Sunday were found guilty of breaking into the house of Mr. Balogun Tope, a police officer attached to the Okuku Div. Police HQ and making away with some of his possessions.
According to the prosecution, on November 13, 2010, the men broke into Balogun's house with a cutlass and a gun. Two of them was arrested, and the others escaped.
The convicts have confessed to stealing the complainant's fowls, and added that they had stolen in the past before then.
The prosecution said: “they also stated that they had earlier robbed Alhaja Umani Oyewo in her house and stole broilers, eggs and kegs of vegetable oil from the house.”
They were therefore convicted on three counts: a death sentence for conspiracy; a life sentence for robbery, and three years for stealing.
The Judge, Justice Fola however noted that governor Aregbesola can decide to make it so they serve 10 years imprisonment instead of a death sentence, considering their ages"

Bill Cosby's wife, Camille finally responds
Bill Cosby 77, has been accused by many women for sexually assaulting them, some claimed they were minor when it happened. The allegation which the comedian has refuse to debunk or issue any statement has tarnished his image and caused him a lot of embarrassment with lost of his shows, endorsements being cancelled because people no longer see him as a role model.
Below is a statement released by his wife Camille Cosby.
I met my husband, Bill Cosby, I. 1963. The man I met and fell in love with, and whom i continued to love, is the man you all knew through his work. He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew.
A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man i do not know. It is Aldi a portrait painted by individuals and organizations whom many in the media have given a pass. There appears to be no vetting of my husband's accusers before stories are published or aired. An accusation is published, and immidiately goes viral.
We all followed the story of the article in the " Rolling Stone" concerning allegations of rape at the university of Virginia. The story was heart-breaking, but ultimately appears to be proved to be untrue. Many in the media were quick to link that story to stories about my husband until that story unwound.
None of us will ever want to be in the position of attacking a victim. But the question should be asked- who is the victim?

Hope for China's executed prisoners as Organ donor might end in 2015
In 2009, China Daily reports that 65% of organs donated are from death row inmates. Finally it seems there is hope for China's executed prisoners as organ donors will likely end in 2015, except willingly or to family members.
China daily reported that human organ transplants will rely on voluntary public donations from January 1 2015, living organ donations by relatives will still be allowed,
Harvesting organs from executed prisoners for transplants is controversial, despite written consent being required from donors and their relatives, the Chinese government has always been resolute in making efforts to end such practice because donations by the public should be the only source of organs for transplants
The public has been able to donate organs after death to help save others lives under a nation-wide system launched in 2010 by the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the RedCross Society of China.
With good access and fair and open practice, Chinese are always willing and ready to donate to help others in need.
To ensure fair allocation, all donated organs are distributed under a computerized system.
The most severely ill get donations under the system, regardless of their social status and wealth, judicial departments are not entitled to decide where the organ donations go.
Before the distribution system was introduced, organs for transplants were allocated by hospitals, with most of them harvested from executed prisoners.
We could not simply reject organ donations by inmates, but the practice had to be well regulated to safe-guard fairness.
Under the current system, specialized organ procurement organizations have been set nationwide to ensure standard practice and quality in organ donations.

The search for greener pasture took 17 lives in Mediterranean Sea
Seventeen migrants have died while attempting to cross the Mediterranean in a small inflatable boat. The migrants were found in a boat close to Libyan waters.
The navy said it had recovered 16 bodies aboard the boat, and one person died after being rescued. More than 70 survivors were also found.
pix:AFP/getty
Most of the deaths were reportedly caused by hypothermia or dehydration.
Italy has had to deal with a massive surge in migrants - many of them from the Middle East and the Horn of Africa - setting off on boats from Libya with hopes of reaching Europe.
About 150,000 migrants have been rescued by Italian ships over the past year.
The Italian navy has said it would continue to operate search-and-rescue missions for migrants, in parallel with Triton
Italy has urged more EU help to cope with boatloads of migrants from northern Africa
'New approach' needed
Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said the latest boat carrying the dead migrants was intercepted some 150 miles (240 km) off the Italian island of Lampedusa - or some 40 miles (65 km) from the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
According to the Italian navy, more than 200 migrants had been rescued in other operations since Thursday.
Mare Nostrum was launched after hundreds of migrants drowned off Lampedusa. It was always intended to be a temporary mission.
Some critics - including UK officials - had argued that the operation was encouraging migrants to set off on un-seaworthy boats.

Another avenue of embezzling Nigerian Money by the Government
Nigeria has more important problems like constant electricity, good health care, clean water, fighting Boko Haram etc but instead of focusing more on this issues, the federal government has find another avenue to embezzle more money.
The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved the purchase of N9.2bn worth of cooking stoves and ‘wonder bags’ for rural women under the National Clean Cooking Scheme. Wonder bag is a non-electric slow cooker invented by Sarah Collins, a South African eco-entrepreneur, who came up with the idea of surrounding the pan with cushions six years ago during a power cut in her country.
The council also awarded a contract of N60.9bn to an indigenous firm, KaKatar CE Limited, for the provision of engineering infrastructure for Kyami District, Zone C, in Abuja.
The Supervising Minister of Information, Dr. Nurudeen Muhammed, and his counterparts in the environment ministry and the Federal Capital Territory, Mrs. Lawrecia Mallam and Bala Muhammed respectively, briefed State House correspondents at the end of FEC, which was presided over by Vice President Namadi Sambo.
Muhammed said the N9.2bn, inclusive of Value Added Tax, was approved for the procurement of 750,000 units of clean cooking stoves and 18,000 wonder bags.
He said the stoves were expected to be delivered by Messrs Integra Renewable Energy Services Limited within a period of 12 weeks.
Muhammed noted that the stoves, to be assembled locally, would provide jobs for Nigerians, among other benefits.
The minister said, “The National Clean Cooking Scheme is an aggressive drive to engender clean cooking culture amongst the poor rural women, to reduce and possibly eliminate cooking with solid fossil which is detrimental to health.
“The scheme is expected to provide 20 million clean stoves over a five-year period at the rate of four million stoves per annum, which will be distributed free of charge.
“It will also reduce incessant felling of trees, which exposes the country to ecological problems.
“Furthermore, additional benefit to Nigeria in switching over to this technology by the rural households is the carbon credits arising from the registration by the UNFCCC. The country stands to gain 50 per cent subsidy of the price through the generated carbon credits.”
He added that the government would be above aboard in distributing the items to ensure that political consideration was not considered in determining the beneficiaries.
He explained further that all women groups in the country were involved in the scheme from conception to the level of awarding the contract.
He said the instrumentalities of the participating groups would be used to distribute the items.
Shedding more light on the contract, the Minister of Environment said in deciding the rural women that would benefit from the free stoves, the government would give preference to the about two million female farmers that are currently procuring fertilisers through e-wallet and another two million women already registered by a non-governmental organisation.
She described cooking with firewood as a silent killer hence the need for the government to come to the aid of the rural women. Source: punch

Mother's womb is transplanted to daughter so she Can give birth
Greatest gift a mum can give to her daughter. Two women have given birth using wombs donated by their own mothers. The pair become the first ever to have children using the very womb that brought them into the world a generation earlier.
The breakthrough brings hope to women who want children but were born without a womb or have had it removed.
The two mothers are among nine women to have been given womb transplants – seven of which have succeeded.
Allan Pacey of the British Fertility Society said: ‘That’s a very good success rate for a new surgical procedure. If it carries on like this, it may have a massive impact on things like surrogacy.
‘Women would much prefer to have their own baby and be pregnant than watch another woman be pregnant.’
The babies – both boys – were born a month ago in Sweden and are doing well with their mothers at home.
Henrik Hagberg, a professor in foetal medicine at King’s College London, who was at the first birth, praised the grandmothers who had hysterectomies to donate wombs to their daughters.
‘It is an absolutely extraordinary gift. It is probably the best thing you can do for your daughter,’ he said.
‘The mothers were still very much doubting whether things would really go well. You don’t take anything for granted when you have experienced all of the problems they have been through.’
The first child, who weighed 5lb 8oz, was born to a 29-year-old Swede who lacked a womb at birth.
The mother of the second boy, who weighed in at 5lb 15oz, is 34 and had her womb removed when she was treated for cancer in her 20s.The mother of the second boy, who weighed in at 5lb 15oz, is 34 and had her womb removed when she was treated for cancer in her 20s.

Baby North West is so gorgeous
@kimkardashian/instagram
We didn’t think that the Kimye family would need to shop the Black Friday sales, but that didn’t stop baby North West from stepping out in her all-black finest for a trip to the spa. Momma Kim Kardashian, who often parades the styles of her daughter, instagrammed a couple posh photos of her baby girl in a miniature ostrich feathered cape and sparkly slippers to match. In a photo together, the two took the streets in complimentary outfits, while Kim dressed in all grey and the toddler in plush, fashion-forward black. North West undoubtedly stole the attention of paparazzi, as Kim followed the lead of her glamorous gal. WOW. North West is certainly coming into womanhood a lot sooner than we imagined.
Corbis Images
This scene-stealing toddler has sauntered the avenues of Paris from street to the front row of Paris Fashion Week, and featured in magazines like Vogue. Though, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as North’s looks are conceived to match much of what Kim wears, from dresses to accessories. In fact, Kimye’s styling team creates their girl’s looks, like the matching lacy black ensembles that the mother and daughter debuted at the Givenchy show in Paris.
Though the combat boots and sheer proved to be uncomfortable in Paris, the toddler seemed to enjoy this feathery outfit.
Steps To Look Younger
Step 1: Forget Low-Fat Diets
Low fat everything has been the craze now for decades and look around. What has that wonderful bit of advice done for the bodies you see? We're fatter, sicker, and more addicted to sugar and carbs than any other time in history. And, we're passing these habits to our kids.
Fats are not to be feared – they're to be embraced. They do not make you fat; rather, they help your body regenerate your power hormones. Testosterone, the 'strength' hormone, for example, is the direct result ofcholesterol and dietary fat intake. That's right: "Cholesterol" isn't a dirty word! Your body needs dietary fat and cholesterol in order to produce ANY AND ALL vital hormones.
People on low fat diets look drawn, gaunt, and weak. They are often sick, sometimes to the point of literally breaking down. And, they can never just enjoy eating out. Every meal and every gram must be accounted for. Do you really think this will make you younger? Of course not... it will worry you to death if it doesn't kill you first!
Step 2: Stop Running in Circles
Gym classes can be fun, if you like sitting in one place and torturing yourself. But have you noticed how little people change their bodies in these classes? Sure, it's good "cardio", but cardiovascular conditioning can be gained with far less time and effort.
Treadmills, and any form of endurance training (especially running) does very little to help the age reversal process. Many times, these long-duration exercise bouts accelerate the aging process by increasing free radicals. These free radicals are scavengers that prey on your body's essential nutrients and tissues.
There's a smart way to exercise... we'll cover that in a minute. And, what's wonderful is that it takes you about ¼ the time of traditional workouts. We'll cover more details on the next page.
Step 3: Stop Blaming Everything On How Old You Are
The guys to the left are not fat because they are old—they're fat becausethey eat, think, and move like a fat, old, dying person! Becky and I are both in our 50s—older than the guys in this photo—and I still sport a nice six-pack, and Becky transformed her body from the typical "middle age mom" to a slim, toned, and super-sexy woman who looks 10 years younger. (See the next page for photos!)
Listen: Your body doesn't own a clock. Studies have shown that men and women in their 90s were able to gain muscle tone in just a matter of weeks of simple weight training. I've personally seen men and women transform their physiques at literally all ages—25 to 95!
If you're around those naysayers who are constantly talking about growing old, all their aches and pains, and how life is just down hill after 40—LEAVE! Surround yourself with positive thinkers who absolutelycrave a challenge. A challenge is what keeps you YOUNG, and the best challenge there is happens to be taking control of your health and body.
We'll show you HOW we do that on the next page.
